Lions of Justice 50K Festival

On September 23, 2018, 50,000 young people in nine different cities pledged to make the world a more peaceful place one person at a time!

Efhama, Iyaremi and Violet attended The Lions of Justice 50K festival in Anaheim, California at the Honda Center where thousands of young people got together to hear about the goals of the Lions of Justice movement that believes “another world is possible” without violence, greed and war.

1. A “Lion of Justice” is someone who courageously faces and overcomes any obstacle that stands in the way of their dreams.

2. Someone who fearlessly challenges the ways of thinking that justify hate, violence and discrimination.

3. Someone who joyfully unites with people of all walks of life toward developing a society based on the happiness of ALL people.

But aside from the important message, the festival also had lots of great entertainment, including the Taiko Drummers who are featured through this video : )

At Be Who You Are, we appreciate the Lions of Justice message, and believe that individuals (even young ones!) have the power to change the world, one person at a time. It’s strength of character that matters when it comes to creating peace, overcoming obstacles and creating a safe place for others. No matter how different we are, everyone deserves respect.

“All people are worthy of respect and must be treated with the dignity they deserve.”
